Assessment of the fungicide GF-3308

We sought your views on an application to manufacture the fungicide GF-3308, for use in the control of a disease which effects wheat.

Dow Agrosciences (NZ) Limited have applied for approval to manufacture GF-3308, containing the active ingredient fenpicoxamid, which is new to New Zealand.

The applicant says that the fungicide is intended for ground-based and aerial application to control speckled leaf blotch (Septoria tritici) and suppress brown leaf rust (Puccinia triticina) in wheat.

The public submission period for this application closed on 9 May 2019.

Two submitters requested to be heard in their submissions, however have subsequently told us that they do not wish to be heard. This means that a hearing will not be held for this application. A decision-making committee has been appointed and is currently considering this application.
