Tamarind Taranaki Limited

On 8 March 2018, Tamarind Taranaki Limited lodged applications for marine consent and marine discharge consent for development drilling activities in the Tui Field, offshore Taranaki.
Tamarind’s applications are for the drilling of up to five sidetrack development wells from up to four of its existing wells, including the associated logistical and environmental monitoring activities.
Tamarind's applications also include a marine discharge consent to discharge offshore processing drainage from deck drains aboard a drill rig.
Latest update - 21 August 2020
On 19 December 2019, Tamarind Taranaki Limited went into receivership and liquidation. On 19 June 2020, the liquidators transferred, in whole, the marine consent and marine discharge consent EEZ100016 to the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment and provided written notice to the EPA.
Board of Inquiry decision available - 26 February 2019
On 18 February 2019, the Board of Inquiry granted, subject to conditions, the marine consent and marine discharge consent applications to Tamarind Taranaki Limited. The decision was publicly released on 26 February 2019.
