Banned substances can be used as analytical standards under certain circumstances and these will require an approval.
Certain substances are exempt or excluded from the HSNO Act. These include substances for use in small-scale research and development or teaching.
If you do not meet the requirements for an exempt laboratory, you will need to make sure all the products you use are covered. These are most likely to be covered by the laboratory chemicals and reagent kits group standards.
The laboratory chemicals and reagent kit group standards are for products that are used as laboratory chemicals and reagent kits.
