The application
On 13 April 2022, the Minister of Health and the Ministry of Health lodged an application for resource consent for Stage 2, the construction of the outpatient building for the new Dunedin Hospital. The works will involve the construction of an outpatient building that comprises consultation and treatment spaces, day surgery, and facilities for procedure and diagnostic services.
On 22 April 2022, the EPA determined that the application complied with the requirements set out in clause 3, Schedule 6 of the COVID-19 Recovery (Fast-track Consenting) Act 2020 (the Act), and can be provided to a panel to determine the application.

Further information requests
At any time before the expert consenting panel issues its final decision on the New Dunedin Hospital – Whakatuputupu Outpatient Building application, it can request further information under clause 25(1)(a) Schedule 6 of the Act.
