On 18 May 2022 the Melia Place panel released its draft conditions.
Under the COVID-19 Recovery (Fast-track Consenting) Act 2020 (the Act), an expert consenting panel must invite comments on the draft conditions of a resource consent application, or notice of requirement, from every person or group that provided comments in response to an invitation given under clause 17.
On 31 May 2022, the Melia Place panel circulated an amended set of draft conditions following comments received on the initial draft conditions, and invited comment on the amended set from all those who provided comment when invited to do so on the initial draft conditions.

Comments on draft conditions are to be received by the EPA by 24 May 2022.
