The Kōpū Marine Precinct expert consenting panel reissued their decision after making minor corrections to the conditions of consent, in accordance with clause 40 of Schedule 6 of the COVID-19 Recovery (Fast-track Consenting) Act 2020 (the Act). These conditions of consent supersede and replace the consent conditions issued with the decision released under clause 37 of Schedule 6 of the Act on 9 March 2022.

The applicant requested minor corrections under clause 40 of Schedule 6 of the Act, to the final consent conditions issued under the decision on the Kōpū Marine Precinct consent application.

On 9 March 2022 the Kōpū Marine Precinct panel granted, subject to conditions, a resource consent to Thames-Coromandel District Council.

The expert consenting panel’s decision can be appealed to the High Court, in whole or in part, on questions of law only.
Any of the following may appeal:
A notice of appeal must be filed with the Registrar of the High Court within 15 working days after the date the person is notified of the expert consenting panel’s decision. A copy of the notice of appeal must also be served on the EPA.
