Waitohi Picton Ferry Precinct redevelopment

Redevelopment of the Picton Ferry Precinct and surrounding infrastructure, including works on land and in the coastal marine area.

The applicants, Port Marlborough New Zealand Limited (PMNZ), Kiwirail Holdings Limited (Kiwirail), and Marlborough District Council (MDC) lodged an application for resource consent on 22 December 2020.

The project is for the redevelopment of the Picton Ferry Precinct in Waitohi Picton to accommodate for larger ferries. It includes construction, coastal reclamation, dredging Picton Harbour, construction of new terminal buildings, roading including the construction of an over bridge, seawalls, culverts and works in the bed of Waitohi Awa.

This project is identified as LP14 in the Act.
