The expert consenting panel must invite written comments on the resource consent application or notice of requirement from the persons or groups set out in clauses 17 and 18 of Schedule 6 of the Act.
On 5 February 2021, the Queenstown arterials project Expert Consenting Panel invited comments on the application. Comments needed to be received by the EPA by 26 February 2021.

A number of parties who were invited to comment on the application provided comments to the panel after the 26 February 2021 deadline.
Under clause 18(6) of Schedule 6 of the Act, the panel has exercised its discretion as specified in Minute 3, and will consider the comments from Pro-Invest Developments, the Wakatipu Senior Citizens Association, and Kirsten Zaki. The applicant will also be provided a chance to respond to the comments.
