Coastal Resources Limited application is for a marine dumping consent to annually dump up to 250,000 m3 of dredged material from source sites within Auckland and Waikato, at an existing dump site 25 kilometres east of Great Barrier Island. CRL are applying for a 35-year consent.
Latest website update on proposal:
On 27 March 2020, the DMC issued Minute 11 advising that CRL has formally withdrawn its application for a marine dumping consent. The DMC will not be undertaking any further work to reconsider the application.
