Limitations

  • Approved Handler limitation: This approval does not include handlers in control of the use of fumigants, vertebrate toxic agents, and veterinary medicines.
  • The approval does not include the design, construction or fabrication of stationary tanks, [Hazardous Substances (Dangerous Goods and Scheduled Toxic Substances) Transfer Notice 2004 Schedule 8 clauses 92 and 94].
  • The approval for above ground tanks is limited to stationary container systems with a maximum capacity of 250,000 litres per tank used or intended to be used to contain a class 3, 5, 6, 8 or 9 substance.
  • The approval of locations where class 2.1.1, 2.1.2 and 3.1 substances are present is limited to (other than vehicle and aircraft refuelling facilities that have no limitation): a maximum aggregate quantity of 25,000 kg for class 2.1.1 substances; a maximum aggregate quantity of 25,000 litres for class 3.1A substances; a maximum aggregate quantity of 100,000 litres for class 3.1B and 3.1C substances.
  • This approval does not include fillers of acetylene cylinders.
