Each year, a number of chemicals are reviewed.
This is done to align New Zealand classifications with those used internationally, to update information on chemicals and to add or remove controls, if required.
What can be reviewed?
Some of the chemicals to be reviewed are added to the list as a result of inquiries throughout the year from users and businesses.
Others are added by our staff after receiving new information, particularly from overseas.
If you have information
indicating that the classification of a substance may not be correct and
you would like us to review it, please submit the information by
emailing this form to reassessments@epa.govt.nz or by posting it to
us.
