What is an Explosives Import Certificate?
An Explosives Import Certificate is needed to import approved explosives into New Zealand. The certificate is issued by us and is used at the border to verify to the New Zealand Customs Service that the imported explosives are approved substances in New Zealand.
The importer must file the certificate as part of the tracking record for the explosive. See below for a quick guide to tracking.
