Importer and manufacturer information notice

The Hazardous Substances (Importer and Manufacturer Information) Notice 2015 requires most people or businesses that make or import hazardous substances to provide the EPA with some basic contact information. This information helps us manage hazardous substances in New Zealand and allows us to communicate with manufacturers and importers and keep them up to date and informed.

This page gives details about this rule, the legal document setting the rule (the EPA notice), and links to provide you with more information.

Your details must be provided to us within 30 days of the first time you import or manufacture a hazardous substance after that date. You will only need to do this once, although you will need to keep us updated if your details change.
