Submissions are now being sought on our proposals to issue a new group standard for active ingredient chemicals used in the manufacture of agricultural compounds, and three new group standards for veterinary medicines. The group standards we are proposing are:
Agricultural Compound Active Ingredients
Limited Pack Size, Finished Dose Veterinary Medicines
Veterinary Medicines (Non-dispersive Closed System Application)
Veterinary Medicines (Non-dispersive Open System Application)
These group standards are proposed as a result of applications made by Agcarm and the Animal Remedy and Plant Protection Association (ARPPA) (applications ERMA200922 and APP201098 respectively). This consultation follows our joint consideration of these applications.
We consider that the proposed group standards will appropriately manage the risks of the substances covered by the group standards. We also consider that the group standards will provide a number of benefits, including predictable regulatory outcomes, consistent approval conditions, better alignment with major trading partners and greater regulatory efficiency.
