Methyl bromide

In November 2010, we completed an extensive review of the use of the fumigant methyl bromide.

This review allowed the continued use of methyl bromide for quarantine and pre-shipment purposes, with strict conditions on its use.

A requirement was added for sites using more than 500 kilograms of methyl bromide in any one year to submit an annual monitoring report to the Environmental Protection Authority.
