The New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) has indicated that the documentation relating to the Transmission Gully Project will be lodged with the EPA in two stages. The first stage will entail the lodgement of a plan change request. The plan change, which was lodged with the EPA on 6 September 2010, requests changes to policies, the addition of a new policy and the addition of two new definitions to the Greater Wellington Regional Freshwater Plan. The second stage will entail lodgement of resource consent applications and notices of requirements for the Transmission Gully Project.
NZTA have indicated that the plan change is designed to better enable the consideration of the subsequent matters that will be lodged relating to NZTA's Transmission Gully Project.
The plan change request seeks the following changes to the Greater Wellington Regional Freshwater Plan:
- Amendments to Policy 4.2.10
- The insertion of a new Policy 4.2.33A
- Consequential changes to Policies 7.2.1 and 7.2.2
- Two new definitions being ‘Transmission Gully Project’ and ‘Stream Ecological Valuation’.
NZTA has made minor amendments to the request since lodgement.
